What is Gather?
Gather helps you plan real-life meetups with the people who matter — circles of friends, events, availability, and the community happening near you.
How do I create an event?
Tap “Create Event” on Home (or the + on Calendar). Add a name, date/time, place, who’s coming, and optionally a cover photo. Promoters can also publish it to the Community.
How do circles work?
Circles are reusable groups of friends. Create one from the Circles tab — give it a name, color, and members — then plan events with the whole circle in a tap.
What does Gather Plus add?
Plus unlocks joining Community events, connected accounts, extra color themes, Friend Insights, and Gather Wrapped. The free tier stays fully usable for planning with your own people.
How do I find friends?
Account → Add friends. Search by @username, share your friend code, or send an invite link. They appear in your Friends list once connected.
How do I split costs?
On an event, open Expenses to add what people paid; Gather computes who owes whom and gives one-tap payment links prefilled with the amount.
How do I cancel an event?
Open an event you created → Details → “Cancel this event.” Add a reason; attendees are notified and prompted to remove it from their calendar.
How do I report someone or block them?
Open a person’s profile to block them, and use the report/block controls on content to flag anything objectionable. We review reports and act on egregious content promptly — typically within 24 hours. You can also email [email protected].
How do I cancel a subscription?
Plus and Promote are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account Settings → Subscriptions. Turning off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next charge.
Is my data private?
Your circles and events are yours. We don’t sell your data or run ads. Availability and RSVP visibility are controlled per event in privacy settings. See our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement.
How do I delete my account?
Account → Reset app data / Delete account, then confirm. This removes your profile and associated content (including content shared with others) within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.
